I thought my problems were alternator related but replaced and battery is good. Starts and runs fine after sitting overnight and reconnecting battery. Once stopped and key still in ignition strange noises from dash and various flashing lights gauges moving slightly and speedo jumping slightly. Will not restart unless left for a time and battery disconnected and connected again. Checked ignition key flap seems OK. Pulled all the relays did not stop the noises and lights from dash. The only fuse that made it stop was (instruments) F4 on the facia {RHD car}. Key Fob still works to open and close the doors. Checked the big fuses. There’s no corrosion on this car. I am suspecting some sort of fault with the BCM or instrument cluster. Any ideas or can you point me to any relevant threads on here? Thanks,

 

What year is your car? Around 2000 there was an issue of cracked solder joints on the instrument pack, from VIN A00116 to A05322 causing problems similar to yours..
