Default Dashboard/windshield vent dismount

On my 2001 convertible the 2 upper dashboard-vents for the windshield are not proper installed and vibrate.
How can I take em off and install it back correctly? I can sees no screws, I assume there are clips - waiting to break.

Thanks - Daniel

I think there's a thread for that somewhere, and I think they're glued down. I can't find the thread, but I have seen it somewhere.

Whatever you do, don't break them! I recently had my car painted and windshield replaced, and both windshield demister vents were somehow broken in the process. I've been looking for replacements...any kind of replacement...and I'm finding nothing. Not even on e-Bay. I'd even take another color and paint to match. Ugh.

Keith Westra posted this 'How To':

Unfortunately the image/video link in it is broken. I PM'd Keith to ask if he can fix it.

Unfortunately the hard drive that those images were stored on died, but the good news is they are rattling again since I apparently didn't have the best glue, so I will be taking new pictures either this week or next.

Thanks Keith.

Is that what they call a blessing in disguise?
