Default Does The 2001 Have An EGR Valve?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........................an other piece in the puzzle of check engine light 101?

My son says its on the back side of the throttle body and can be plugged.

So far I am just not sure if the 2001 has this unit.

Any members know?

Only the 4.0 XKR has EGR. Have you read the codes? A local parts store will do so, then you can report the code here for help.

Yes, I have several threads going, trying to find a solution to my P0174 code. Lean fuel condition to banks 1 & 2.

Replaced air filter, cleaned MAF sensor, cleaned throttle body, put seafoam in the fuel tank, checked fuel pressure at key on, and running.

Light stayed off for a 20 mile drive at 60-70 mph and recently come back on for the wife while driving around town.

I have a new fuel filter I intend to install as so as I get some free time.

Also have a new MAF sensor that I can install but I am more and more convinced that the problem is relating to fuel delivery in some manor.

It's just the supercharged engines that have the egr valve. Usually you can hear the leak at cold start up, they crack in the corrugated section of the pipe. Even if you have cleaned the MAF sensor, it doesn't always work. I've had MAF sensors create a symptom of the engine sounds like its struggling to rev up while at idle. Another symptom I've had is while driving, it simulates a slipping transmission, when you accelerate hard, revs go up but car doesn't speed up.

Since you have a new MAF, maybe just swap it out and see if it changes, just 2 screws and about 30 seconds, if not, at least you can eliminate that altogether. Then get the codes scanned and see what comes up.
