Default does your 2003+ have an early model owner's manual?

I just noticed, the manual for my '03 XK8 refers to the 4.0L engine, 5 speed transmission (I have the 4.2L & 6 speed) and all the illustrations are of the earlier model cars.

I can understand not changing the illustrations to reflect changes in minor trim details, however the incorrect engine specs seem unlikely. It makes me wonder if this is the manual which originally shipped with the car, or a replacement.

Manuals usually have a print date somewhere at the front or the back. This should match the model year of your car. Replacement printed manuals are fairly easy to source online, though some can be pricey.

The correct owners manual for 2003 is Part No: JJM 18 02 14/30

The publication number is printed on the rear outside cover

You can download manuals here - TOPIx - TOPIx

unless you want to have the original book.

I have tried loads of times to download stuff from this site, but I can never get it to work Are there any 'direct links' to PDF manuals for our cars?

It can be a bit of a pain but I can normally get it to work, sometimes takes a while to load up too.
I've had better results using the direct link above rather than using the FAQ link.
It seems the Jag websites have "character" just like the cars.

Try this link (Found in topix).

TOPIx - TOPIx

The manual is in the form of multiple PDFs.

When you click the Link you will immediately load the PDF in your PDF Reader. Then you can close the Reader and select the next PDF.

Edit: You will have to navigate to the correct page to download the manual:

English/United States/X100 XK-SERIES/2003/ find/Owner/ on the left you can select owner's handbooks.
