Default Door card "A" Pillar material replacement

Howdy Folks:
What I have going on is repainting my interior, removing my door cards to paint / repair that common broken upper rear stud bracket and since it is an opportune time, have an early Christmas by installing WhiteXKR's top remote.
My question is how to replace the header/pillar material inside the hand pull pocket on the armrest. Will it be self explanatory once I pull the cards, or are there some tricks I need to know. (I have the fabric already) Any help is appreciated. Many thanks.

With the door card off you will see 4 screws that hold the armrest/door pull on. One at the front, one at the rear and two smaller ones on the bottom. Remove these and it comes right off. Once off all of the fabric bits are pretty easy to get at.

Be careful of the washers that go between the armrest and the door card for the front and rear screws. The first time I took mine apart they fell out and it took me a while to figure where they came from.

I'm doing the same thing. I got really pissed off at it one day and ripped it out!! Lol
I think I'm going to leave the inside of the arm the cleaned black plastic and run my brown suede behind the handle below the insert on the card.

Thanks CC.
I just got the remote today, so I'm heading for Harbor Freight for the nylon trim tools and Home Depot for some JB Weld. Again thanks.

I just did the fabric replacement in my doors along with a few other things. See my post for pics.
