Door sag 97 XK8

Door sag 97 XK8
Hi all,
I notice the drivers door on my 97 XK8 has a slight sag in it.
When closing it lacks that reassuring 'thump' one expects from a car of this bloodline. It appears to have to lift a couple of mm as it engages the latch.
Is this adjustable? Is it common?
For those who read my last post on poor headlights, I am making some progress with all lights now working though they seem to be adjusted far to low, most noticeable on low beam where a black hole exist about 20 m in front of the car
Regards all
Al

i have fixed many a worn and or wrecked cars over the years.hinge bushings wear out,or the door will just sag over the years from the shear weight of opening and closing a long heavy door.adjusting the top hinge forward 1/8 or so will usually do the trick.if not sometimes move bottom hidge back.if that fails, jack up the back of your door

Drivers door sagging about 1/8-1/4". 2002 XK8 Convertible.
In my case the door sag is due to a break in the metal, on the door, just below the lower hinge.
Just open up the door and check yours carefully if you have this issue. You can actually see the tear in the metal move when you pull up on the door.
My car is a Texas vehicle and there is not a spot of rust on it. I feel this issue has nothing to do with rust, just metal that is too thin for that big, long, heavy door.
I guess it's off to the welders this week.
'Hope this helps.
