Dorchester gray mismatch
I have two x100’s with Dorchester gray trim. I have trim with chips in the paint, so I ordered SprayMax Dorchester gray 1k to repaint. The new paint is almost black. Both my cars trim pieces are lighter gray. Has anyone else experienced this mismatch? Does anyone know an alternative Dorchester Gray code that is the correct ‘lighter’ OEM shade… or a paint company that matches the paint correctly? I read how some have used gray wheel paint that is close, but I want a correct match in an aerosol can, preferably 1K paint. Any help is appreciated! Thanks
I had a rattle can made up locally. 'Jaguar Dorchester Grey Metallic', the code is LDP. It is an excellent match to my original trim colour, but needs a clear gloss lacquer top coat.

I used a can of PMR (Paint My Ride) Dorchester Gray sourced through Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/for-Jagua...R&from=/search
This is a perfect match and used to refurbish my coupe upper door seals and rails, I haven't done the rears yet but the front and rear colours are identical.
If you are removing your coupe upper window rails / surrounds get a couple of packs of NAPA BK 665-1313 (https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/BK_6651313) - these are the correct captive nylon nut replacements. You may also need 1/6" x 1" self adhesive rubber strip to replace the rail backing:

The backing on my upper door rails was thin foam rubber (which is useless and the main cause of rotting screws, I replaced the screws with ACE Hardware stainless items.
