Default A Drum replacement ? on clutch wear

I have my ZF5hp 24 apart and found the drum damaged, plan on replacing, but would like a second or third (as many as would) opinion as to the clutch and steel condition...have not seen pictures here of what to look for. The pan had lots of fuzz and a few metal pieces...see pictures of a drum discs and discs from other drum.
Thx

In my opinion the steels can be reused and the friction disc look good too. What I have read is that most reuse the disc. I usally put new friction disc in since they only cost about $40.

deelli, you have to renew all the seals in the A clutch so swap the frictions while you're there. I have 4 new ZF frictions for the A clutch that I didn't use. You can have them if you like. They were soaked in fresh transmission fluid, but otherwise brand new.

I also replaced the B/C axial bearing ($30) and installed a Transgo PR valve to hopefully prevent the supposed pressure spikes that can fracture the A clutch.

Be sure to grease up this "O" ring with assembly grease and be careful with the re-fitment.

I've read there is an ZF 5HP24 rebuild kit available (check with ZF USA), and it might be worth your while to do the whole works whilst replacing the busted A-drum. You may also look into rebuilding the torque converter as well if you intend to hangon to your Jag.

Thanks for the response, I plan to replace the frictions and seals. Where did you source your replacement parts and were you satisfied?
Thanks

American Powertrain Warehouse has the factory ZF overhaul kits, the B/C axial bearing and Transgo PR valve all at good prices. The "A" drum is after market, for $99 and seems to work fine. My upper valve body (nefarious crack) was sourced from Eriksson
in CT.
