Electric Seat Problems

Electric Seat Problems
1999 XK8 Convertible
Both electric seats in my car have stopped working and the seatbelt warning light is on all the time, regardless of the seatbelt being on or not. This happened at the same time.
Rather bizarrely the 2 memories on the driver's seat work fine.
The steering wheel adjustment works fine.
Any ideas where I should start looking

Lots of seat control issues popping up lately. Weird.
Bot seats at once is strange, it usually is either one or the other, in which I would recommend swapping the seat modules (located under each seat) with each other to determine if that is the case.
I honestly don't know where to tell you to go...did you check all your fuses?

Update.
The passenger seat has started working perfectly again.
Drivers seat module fuse was blown. It seems the seat belt warning wire has been trapped and shorted out.
I had the seat out recently and obviously haven't routed the wire properly when I put it back.
It was the 2 seats both not working that confused me to start with.

ISSUE:
In the event of blowing of fuses which protect the front seat mechanisms, the two most probable
locations for harness chafing are:
1. Where the seat harness enters the seat back (above the squab pivot point).
In this location, the harness may chafe against the seat frame when the seat reclining
mechanism is operated.
2. Where the seat harness emerges from the seat ECU - the harness is looped before being
secured to the seat frame by a tie-strap.
In this location, the harness may rub against the edge of the Rise & Fall Gearbox, particularly
when the seat is occupied and in its lowest position.
ACTION:
1. The following action should be taken on a customer complaint basis only:
2. Repair the harness as necessary to Jaguar Repair Standards, using items from the Wiring
Harness Repair Kit.
3. Having repaired the harness, protect the vulnerable zone by applying a 100 mm length of
Harness Protective Tubing. Wrap the tubing and adjacent harness fully with insulating tape to
retain the tubing in position and to prevent it creaking.
PARTS INFORMATION:
The following should be ordered via Jaguar Parts Operations:
PART NO. DESCRIPTION QTY / VEH
JLM 21197 Harness Protective Tubing 100 mm length As required
WARRANTY INFORMATION:
This Technical Bulletin is issued to provide Information Only.
Claims must be submitted in accordance with the currently published Jaguar Warranty Policy and
Procedures Manual and its Amendments.
