Ham handed tire installer ruined my original stock 2-piece lug nuts on just one wheel. Guess he or she realized the error and dialed down the torque for the other 3 wheels

i learned my lesson, though. From now on I’ll just R&R the wheels myself

anyone know a source for a set of 1/2-20 UNF black lug nuts (short shank) for our X-100! I can find them in chrome but not in black ???7

PS : besides, from reading every topic on the 2 piece lug nuts, I’ve soured on them. I’m ready for the more sturdy solid type, perfect black, but will take chrome plated if that’s all I can find.

 

The two-piece lug nuts are indeed garbage. I threw away all the sets I had more than a decade ago. Go with a one-piece set even if you must get silver....
