extended warranty
Does anyone have a source for an extended warranty for a 1998 XK8 with 56000 miles? I've called a few companies I've found on-line but so far every one of them has said it doesn't qualify for an extended warranty. Thanks for any suggestions.

Call your local Jaguar Finance manager and ask them if they can suggest any extended warranty companies. Surely they have to work with someone other than their own. That or ask the mechanic who will do the work on your car if she or he prefers one or none. If they do suggest one call them to see if they will cover your car. You may also try the local Ford dealerships to see what warranty companies they use.
I'm very serouisly considering one my self. The local Jag dealer here did not have any suggestions to help me. But If I find one I will probably run it past their people first to see if they would have a problem working with that particular warranty service.
Is it me or did there not use to be an advertiser on this site that did extended warranties. You may be able to ask the jag service tech's within this forum if there are any suggestions.

I am acutally looking at the two right now. Easycare and Fidelity warranty service. Both companies offer coverage depending on the mileage of the car. I have XKR05 factory warranty expiring end of Dec/2009.
I wouldn't mind receiving any feedback from the forum users if they have any customer experiences of either company. I've searched the web and both have some bad claim reports.
thanks,,,,

Ahhh....I can help on this one.
I am the representative for our region for Jaguar's factory-backed extended service agreement - Jaguar Extra Mile. We are the factory representatives for Jaguar, Land Rover, Mazda, and Volvo. EasyCare Gold policies offer the same coverage options for any make and model of vehicle. Also, EasyCare is the only Vehicle Service Contract to be awarded the Motor Trend Recommended Best Buy status.
EasyCare also just announced a program that offers coverage on up to 11 year old vehicles (so a 1999 or newer as we enter into 2010) with less than 80,000 miles on the odometer. A local dealer will need to inspect the car and do an oil change and then we can write a contract on a vehicle even if it's outside of the manufacturer's original warranty. There are four levels of coverage available, and information can be found at www.easycare.com
If your local dealership is not offering the Jaguar Extra Mile policy and the EasyCare policy, I will see what I can do to help put you in touch with the right folks as a favor to my fellow Jaguar Forum members. And just to let you know, our service contracts are the best in the industry and offer customers a tremendous level of coverage and sound piece of mind. They are not inexpensive, and we make no apologies for this. Send me an email to the address below if I can help.
