My headlights do not turn on in auto mode, until it is DARK! Is there any fix for this. I turned the knob on the back of the mirror, like the manual says, but no joy.....Any replies will be appreciated....Thanks....Mike

 

I suppose one workaround for the problem is to partly cover the sensor in the mirror with black tape.

There is likely a problem with the circuit board or sensor inside the mirror. It is possible to crack open the mirror and reglue it, but it is a tad delicate operation. The problem sounds like it could be flux contamination on the circuit board and a good clean in isopropyl alcohol might just cure it.
