Hello, I have a 1997 XK8 that was hit hard in the front. I located a 2003 bumper assembly that I'd like to buy. The dealer and junkyard reference materials indicate it won't fit, but it appears to me that the only change is the configuration of the foglights. Does anyone know if a 2003 bumper assembly will bolt and hook up to a 1997 XK8? I'm not concerned about the change in appearance.

It depends on the VIN numbers and your car spec. What can be different are the bumper undertray and the two front wheel arch liners, which changed at VIN A40264.

Thanks for the helpful reply! My car's VIN is 011982, so it looks like a later bumper assembly won't fit, but I'll check that with Jaguar Classic Parts.
