Default Fuel Mileage Reset

How do I reset the average miles/gal display?

I would have thought that the CLEAR button would do this, but nope.

Do not find anything in the owner's manual on this.

Thanks

Default Press 0 for operator

Press and hold "0000" on the same panel. You need to be in either the "A" or "B" data set, and pressing "0000" only resets that "A" or "B" set. You can then switch to the other set and reset it separately if you want.

I have pressed the "000" button and it resets either the A or B trip counter but it did not reset the "miles/gal" counter.....do I need to continue to keep the "000" depressed? Will this then reset the fuel mileage?

Are there two fuel mileage counters, A and B or just one?

I have read over the instructions above, had also from my manual, but it does not address reseting of the fuel mileage...at least not directly.

Can you tell I do not drive the car much????....this is wife's car.

There are 2 data sets, A and B. Resetting while on A resets everything with set A, including mileage. Same with B, which has a separate mileage. The thing is that it only resets if displaying something that can be reset (so, not the miles left on the tank, or the overall odometer). The easiest is to display mileage for set A, then press and hold "000". There should be a message in the lower display "RESETTING". You need to hold for a while (at least 3 or 4 seconds).

Good luck.

GOT IT. I thought that when the message displayed, "RESETTING" it was the trip mileage only. I was not aware that there were separate A and B "miles/gal" displays, thought there were only Trip A and Trip B miles and that miles/gal was separate.

Now I know.

Thanks.
