Evening all, moving along with my 1999 xkr I'm now in need of a pair of fuel pumps. I've searched the stickies for compatible parts but nothing on there.
can anyone recommend pumps that are decent enough quality, meet the requirements and are fairly priced please.
Many thanks in advance for any assistance
Hey Brinny!! The fuel pumps are pretty generic. (I did the fuel filter at the same time). Both where bought through a French motor factor, an equivalent of Halfords in the UK and where not expensive. (Picture bellow). Zero problems with the fitting and great fuel pressures. Best of luck.
Thankyou very much. The last pumps are actually still working and about 3 years old with hardly any use. The problem seems to be the sock filter on the end getting blocked with sludge.

the “hardly any use” part is the troubling segment. These fuel pumps do not do well, do not have longevity, when they are not used often, and by that I mean very very often.
my 2002 XKR fuel pumps are original, and have 197,5XX miles on them. After this weekends trip add another 1,000 miles on top of that (knock on wood).
The best thing you can do for your car and the fuel pumps especially is to drive it daily.
Just so you know "Stark" is an own brand for Autodoc - they will push you to buy these when they claim the branded items you really wanted are out of stock. Of course they don't tell you it's their own brand. Whether the Stark logo is worth paying the premium compared to any other Chinese knock off is debatable.
Just a Quickie.........my XKR has the larger 600cc injectors from the 4.2 ltr system and a Kenne bell boost-a-pump system that takes my injection pressure from 42psi to 63psi. The French Stark/Autodoc brand fuel pumps are doing it's job perfectly well after 19 months of use. Good, better, best and this is good. Very best of luck with your project.
