Fuse #19 ?
Does this make any sense, as I haven't tried it?
Oh yes and the noise, remove fuse no 19 and for no outlay on expensive exhausts you have an amazing sound. Although I am tempted to go louder!!!

Sorry, that is for 2007 and later XKRs with active exhaust.
