Default future fun!

After engine reassembly -complete chain replacement- turning it over showed compression loss in 1 cylinder. Not total loss but 60% or so. Didn't bother with compression tester. Car runs fine other than skip at idle. cylinder comes back after 1800 rpm or so. SO I need to pull the drivers side head at some point.Major bummer? Odd things to keep in mind? Thanks for all /any replies. Jeremy

If the car has sit around for a long time or overheated, it could be cylinder wash. Try giving the cylinder a little bit of oil and see if you can get your compression back. Might save a whole lot of unnecessary work... just saying.
