Hello. I bought a house, I chose it poorly. Let's discuss me...Garage Door. The door is old but seemed fine. Until I decided I should replace the door seal because a snake decided to come into the garage. So I headed to Lowes and promptly bought the wrong item. It is said universally. Right... Ok, so what is this style called? Image of a small section in profile. Neither Lowes nor The Depot had one to match up. Everything is that two-track U-shaped once. This has a single track. Thoughts on what to get to keep the snakes out??

So after striking out at the stores I came home. Got out of the car and found a 1/2 lag screw...bolt?? On the ground. Well, luckily I did not run over it. So I looked up and found this staring back at me. I tried to insert it back in but it won't bite. Seems stripped out. So being smart I pulled my car out of the garage and closed it. Well, that is when the next one fell out of the hinge. So...yeah. I looked around and that same side has two other hinges missing screw/bolts. Checking the other side and I can see a few have been replaced with a nut/bolt option. So the question here is, can I do that? Is there a particular size/material I should use click here? Not sure about sheer strength and all that other voodoo. The door does need replacing, but not right now. Too many other things wrong. Speaking of, as a home inspector would you check to see if all the bolts are in place for a garage door?

For the garage door weatherstrip, newer doors have the two t tracks to form a U shape, older doors have a single track. You can order a single track online but I had the same problem and was able to force the 2 T into one track.
