Default Gear stick thread XK8

A fellow member wishes to purchase one of my home made gear stick knobs. I have made some to fit the XJ6 (X350) but not sure if the gear stick thread is the same i.e. M8 x 1.25 pitch (this is the standard M8 thread pitch)
SO can I please request if any owners can help me to establish if the thread is M8 ?

Hi Bob,
Confirm that both the XK8 and XKR Gearknobs and respective Collars are all M8 x 1.25 pitch (both 5 Speed and 6 Speed transmissions). Pic shows items on M8x1.25 Stud.

What wood did you use to make those? Do you have any available?

The wood is Cyprus Pine, just off cuts from flooring timber from my Mens Shed. I carefully select pieces with interesting grain. I darken them with Walnut stain and apply 6 coats of clear laquer with rubbing down with 1000 grit wet and dry between coats, each one takes about 2 weeks to make. I make my own brass inserts with the M8 thread. If you look in the MARKETPLACE section you will find my advert. And yes I do have some for sale.

Thank you very much PKWISE for confirming my thoughts on the threads.
