does my 2003 XK8 have any grease Zerts?
if so, would they be metric?
thanks in advance

There are four zerk fittings on the half shafts. Any grease gun should fit them, they're universal. But they can be hard to access and a gun with a hose works best.

As RJ says, the grease nipples (as we call them in the UK) are partially or wholly obscured by the universal joint on each end of the shaft unless the half shaft is rotated to exactly the right position. Once it is in the perfect position, even a grease gun with a solid snout like mine is usable. The best way to achieve the correct position is to jack up each wheel in turn so you can rotate the shaft.

FWIW,
I really like my LocknLube coupler snout, including using it for these joints. It stays on the fitting and all of the grease goes in the fitting as it should.

Make sure that the grease comes out of each of the Spicer U-joint bearings. If not, the internal tubes are clogged and all of the bearings will not be lubricated. Must then be replaced.
