The first link looks interesting if the photos are any indication. The second link irks me because of how different it looks from stock.

Those are my thoughts as well but if it works and looks nice enou gh it may be worth me getting someday. I know that you can get a Mini part that repalces the OEM part but those aren't easy to find and they are old as well. Would be nice if someone could make an OEM part obviously with some improvements to prevent it rusting.

The horizontal one does not seem to have any rubber wiper for the glass to water will go into the door and as we know the vents at the bottom are not great.
Not sure about the top one at all ..once you pull the original off if it dont fit right you are up the creek without a paddle.
I just sand mine down as required tape up and spray.

Good point the lower seal doesn't seem to seal all that well.

There's a video on YouTube showing a new strip. I don't know if it is the one in your advert.
The owner describes how the replacement seal strip is approx 5mm thinner than the original OEM seal and this (on his car) reveals a paint flash line. Fast Forward to about 5 minutes in.

That looks very similar. I will probably hold off for now as I know there are better options out there.
