Has anyone used these new waist seals?
On Ebay there is a seller selling waist seals for the top and botton of the door waist seals. Has anyone used them and how do they look on the car and perform? Jaguar XK8-R Door Window Trim Rubber Seal | eBay Jaguar XK8-R Window Waist Trim Rubber Seal Kit | eBay
Those are my thoughts as well but if it works and looks nice enou gh it may be worth me getting someday. I know that you can get a Mini part that repalces the OEM part but those aren't easy to find and they are old as well. Would be nice if someone could make an OEM part obviously with some improvements to prevent it rusting.
The horizontal one does not seem to have any rubber wiper for the glass to water will go into the door and as we know the vents at the bottom are not great.
Not sure about the top one at all ..once you pull the original off if it dont fit right you are up the creek without a paddle.
I just sand mine down as required tape up and spray.

There's a video on YouTube showing a new strip. I don't know if it is the one in your advert.
The owner describes how the replacement seal strip is approx 5mm thinner than the original OEM seal and this (on his car) reveals a paint flash line. Fast Forward to about 5 minutes in.
