Hawke Pad Endorsement
I put a set of Hawke Street Performance Ceramic Pads on my XKR w/ Brembos a couple of weeks ago. I just wanted to report that I think they're great. Very good stopping power even when they're cold. The really good news is that they throw off very little dust and what they do throw off is gray, so it really doesn't show on the wheels. They're much, much better than the OEM pads in this regard.
I have had the same experience with the Hawke pads. Have had them on the car for over a year now and performance has been consistent...excellent. As you say they are much better than the OEM pads.
I have been using HPS (High Performance Street)for over 3 years now, over 40K on them, they still have plenty of life left and the rotors look good too.
Many people prefer the Hawk Performance Ceramic as there is no warm up time required but I prefer the HPS as they have a very firm pedal feel, low dust (not as low as the ceramic, but still way lower than the OEM) and have hardly any fade.
