Got an XK8 which has HID headlights with the washer jets fitted, the car didnt come with these from factory

MOT tester failed the car as the washer jets have to work if the car has HIDs

Ive fitted the new washer tank with motors and piping upto the headlight washers

The car had the headlight washer wiring blanked off, so i unblanked it and plugged it into the headlight washer pump expecting it to work... but it doesnt

Is there other work required? i checked the fuse box next to the abs pump number 7 has a 30amp fuse as it should (powerwash fuse)

Im pressing the washer button with the headlights on but nada...
