Default Headliner - Anyone purchase one from ebay?

Has anyone purchased a headliner from ebay? A couple sellers offer them, if anyone has had a good experience with one that would be helpful.
Also, they all sell Grey and Tan. Are these the only two colors that Jag used? I know my code is for oatmeal , not sure if that is for the headliner or just the leather.

Default No, but...

if you have good luck with them, post a link. Been thinking of a new headliner also.

I assume you are refering to the convertible headliner.

I did mine about a year ago. I went with this one: http://www.topsandseats.com/store/pr...cat=349&page=1. The fit and quality was good, but it did not include the plastic extrusions, so the old ones had to be removed and re-sewn in the new headliner. Also it was unlined foam backed headliner material, it did not have the white liner as the oem material. The kit also included extra material to recover the A-pillars and roof console, which was nice.

The listings on ebay from 'topsonline.com' seems like a better product, since it includes new extrusions already sewn in, new plastic fasteners, and appears to have the white cloth inner liner. If you are interested in recovering the A-pillars and roof console, it may be worth asking them if they can provide a yard of extra material.

As far as color goes, I beleive there were only 2 headliner colors (light grey and beige) , and they are not the same as the interior color codes.

Note also that the headliner is sewn around the plastic rear window frame (at least in my 2001), so some sewing still may be required. A $10 sewing awl from REI will do the job http://www.rei.com/product/602118, albeit slowly.

You will also need an inexpensive pop rivet tool, available from most auto supply stores.

The installation can be a little tricky...be sure to take photos as you remove the old one...you will be glad you did !

I purchased a headliner for my coupe a couple of years ago from:
http://www.wlsheadliners.com/

They were knowledgeable on the phone, and fast shipment and plenty of material. The woman I talked to knew enough about their product and our cars to know that the color that was originally recommended as a replacement for my cashmere interior was no longer the best match. The one she sent was perfect.
