Heated Seats
On a 2000 XKR, if the driver's side heated seat control fails to light and there is all of a sudden no heat, where is the fuse and or relay for this? The passenger side works fine. This all occurred after installing a new battery. Worked fine before, not working now. Light on the switch comes on for passenger side and seat heats- no light on drivers side and no heat to seat. Have a fuse chart, but that does not seem evident unless they have adopted a weird British term. Would removing power and then power with a new battery cause a weak fuse to go out?

Driver's Seat Control Module
I also seeon the fuse chart a position for what is called the driver's seat "switchpack" Is this the controls for the electric seat?

Do you think the driver's seat control module also controls the electric part of the seat adjustment. On the drivers side that part is working fine. So if that is working then it would have to be a different one-I think??

Attached is the schematic for the seat control and heat. The heater appears to be supplied by the fuse #1 in the fascia fuse panel and controlled through the seat module by fuse #8. The 'switch pack' is the set of seat movement switches on the side of the seat. It has nothing to do with the heat function. There is also no 'relay' outside of the seat control module.
Changing the battery should also have nothing to do with a sudden failure of the seat heater either.
Before you start pulling wires may I suggest that you do a hard reboot of the car by removing the battery ground cable from the battery post and touching it to the positive post. That will reset all electrical functions and has resolved many strange issues.
If that produces nothing it didn't take much time or cost much.
A 'seat heat' search of the forum will produce several good posts on the subject.
