HELP - From a Jaguar audio electrician
Hi All,
I'm in the process of making a custom loom to ISO connection for my 2002 XKR to install a Sony head unit. I've managed to source a colour schmeatic for the Jaguar loom - attached.
From this I have been able to sort the main power and speaker connections, but from the 13pin yellow plug I need to connect the green/black wire for the antenna triger - which would go to the blue ISO antenna wire I assume, but I'm not sure about the red/blue and red/green wire labeled for interior lights system. Are these the connectors to the dash ligh rheostat, which would dim the audio light panel in line with the dash lights, or are these necessary to illuminate the head unit in general?
The ISO connector has an orange wire which is for illumination - is this where I connect one or both of the these wires? or is it not necessary?
Any help or advice greatly appreciated

Connect the red/blue to the ISO orange wire. This is the dimmer controlled lighting power (the electronic equivalent of rheostat controlled illumination power).
The red-green is a dimmer override signal from the click stop on the dimmer level control on the steering column, and probably would just not be used on your Sony.
