Default HELP! Miss firing and stalling

I have a 1997 that has 94k miles. If I would drive every day, it would run perfectly. But if I let it sit for more than 1 day, it would start miss firing until it would clear(that procces took about 20 minutes). But now, I havent driven it in 2 weeks and its a mess...

The check engine lights up along with the engine miss firing thing(i think its going into limp mode). I tried hooking up several OBD 2 scanners, but they dont read. Actron models. It feel like its missing a cylinder or two.

Any suggestions??

Hopefully, some of the more knowledgeable members will probably chime in, but I think that the first thing to do would be to get it properly scanned. If that particular Scanner is not working on it, find one that will. I have heard that some Auto Parts Stores will scan your car for free. At least then you'll have a good starting point. The better that you can narrow your problem down, the easier and cheaper it will be to rectify.
Good luck!
Brian
