My son is driving my old XKR and has an electrical fault which stops the Petrol cap opening when the dashboard button is pressed. Is there a manual override to open the petrol cap?

Pull out the carpet on the sidewall inside the boot. This will expose a lever that can be moved to manually unlatch the fuel door.
