Default A Mystery

Greetings!

I am at the point where the starter is ready to go on the XKR engine, and have a quick questoin. Just above the starter and below the exhaust manifold is a threaded "bung" for lack of a better term. Perhaps it is for some form of sensor, but I can't find it in any of the photos I have, the engine assembly guide, JTIS or the parts diagrams. I also looked through all my remaining parts for something that would fit there, with nothing unaccounted for.

Can someone identify it and what if anything needs to go there? (pics attached)

Thanks in advance.

TC
