I have a high pitch noise, not very loud. Difficult to determine where its coming from. It not there when cold, and also not after a long drive (several hours)
It starts at about 1000 rpm and continues up to about 1500 rpm where it stops. It's mostly noticeable when cruising. It is also there with the transmission in neutral . I have only heard it in the lower gears when driving.
I feel it has become more noticeable over the last 3-4 months.

Any suggestions?

I think I solved it... I only hear it with the air-conditioning on, must come from the compressor clutch or the evaporator.
