My 99 has 2. When I was looking at the KBB value it had an option to select side impact bags. Do the later versions have side impact bags?

 

my 03 has side airbags in the seats.

 

The airbag/seat belt system became progressively more complex as the XK8/XKR developed.

From the driver/passenger airbags with 'simple' seatbelts on the early models, the SRS (Supplementary Restraint System) evolved into driver/passenger/side airbags and seatbelts with pyrotechnic tensioners:

The later XK model continued this complexity with the addition of a pedestrian impact system.
