Default How Many Miles to 6HP26 Failure?

Hi guys!,

OK, I admit it - curiosity is killing me. With almost 216,000 miles on my '03's trans, I have to asked the collective:

How many miles did you have on your 6HP26 Transmission before it failed?
Did you beat the car up with energetic driving or do the grandma thing?
Did you change the fluid or did you buy into the "Sealed for Life" B.S?
Do you have an XK8 or XKR?

Thanks guys. This might be interesting.

Haha, ... OK Stu. Play nice. ;-)

"I'm" obviously one of the Just Drive It Gang too. I've put 115,000 miles on her in just 5 and half years! Just love driving the damn thing. (When she's not receiving her well deserved TLC, that is). To wit: A new oil cooler hose and some fresh MERCON SP went in this weekend.

Today, tomorrow, this week, next week , who knows? There will be ones that failed off the production line and others still in use after half a million miles. Same with every aspect of the car, if it works, fine, if it stops or makes strange noises get it looked at but don't worry about something that may or may not happen, life's too short
