HOW TO: Remove the center console (in less than 5 minutes)
I've had the center console out about 5 times in the last week, so I figured I'd make a video on how to remove. It's very simple. The hardest part is removing the J-Gate surround. I made a whole separate video on how to do that.
Here's how to remove the entire center console:

And this video shows a little more detail on how to remove the J-Gate surround. The first time I did it it took me about 15 minutes, and each time I've done it it gets easier. One tip: pop out the forward clips first, then do the back ones.

LOL! I was a Hilton Honors Diamond member until a few months ago. I traveled A LOT for my former job. I really got sick of the traveling, but a big perk was that I got a lot of free hotel stays by earning points. I tried to stick to the Hilton chain because about 5 years ago Marriott pissed me off. My wife and I mostly used the points to stay in hotels we would never pay for. For example, in the heart of downtown Charleston, SC there's a Doubletree that costs $350 per night. We could stay there for a mere 35,000 points, which I could earn with about 10 stays at other Hilton hotels. I was spending 100-120 nights per year in hotel rooms, so the points added up fast.
Here's a pic of some hotel keys. I used to just throw them into a drawer when I kept them. Then one day I stacked them up The stack was about 10 inches tall. It's shorter now because the keys come in handy for things like scraping paint, holding globs of epoxy to mix it, removing J-gates... The bottom half of the stack is all Hampton Inns. Hampton is cool because the key has the name of the state on it. I went through all of the Hampton Inn Keys and found 15 or 16 different states. I have a pic of that somewhere, too.
