Well I wanted to clean the engine bay up a bit so I had a few pits hydrodipped. Originally I was going to go with some powdercoating but had the opportunity to try this out. Photos do not do it justice. Looks much better in person but I'm unsure if I really like it or not. Anyway thought id share. I di dteh top, IC's and my intake pipe

 

I think you are going to regret having done that prior to your Twin Screw installation. You need to cut & weld the charge cooler where it feeds the bypass valve as well as modify the outlet that goes on top of the supercharger. I wish you the best with the upgrade it is worth the money.

 

Twin screw is for my xjr. The xkr is loud and not really sleeper sounding or looking. My xjr however...!!!!!!When I do my xkr 4.2 swap however Ill have to do something with those IC's...But thats in the future. I do have plans for this car but I have a few on the list to do before this gets started...I just like a clean engine

 

Been thinking about doing a few bits myself.

I think it looks good and will stand out under the hood. I think my personal preference for those aluminum parts is polished though.

 

I tend to stay away from polish due to maintenance. Stainless steel and black textured powdercoat (non gloss) are generally my favorite for a sanitary kind of factory look
