Thanks I think the great thing on this forum is that we are all mature enough to understand that, at the end of the day, we're just talking about cars and that there are actually far more important things in life to worry about.

Easy fix for that. Move south. I just came home and have had the top down all day.

FROG; Where can I get a car cover like that?......What do you say to people who say the car should be driven every few days? This is my first winter with the Jag and am considering storage.

I do try to take the car for a run at least once a week (as much for myself as for the car ) to avoid flat spots on the tyres, fuel and battery problems, etc. but I wait for a dry day. I have already had her out once since I first posted this thread.

As for the cover, it's a Prestige model from this UK supplier. They're pricey at around $425 + shipping, but they're of a very high quality and fit. My particular cover was a limited edition to mark the Royal wedding back in the spring, hence the colours and flag.

Beautiful cave for your xk. I am spoiled living in Florida, which also means temptation to drop the top too often and pile on the miles. My 04 xk just rolled 60k miles. Miles vs shop time , that is the question,,,,
