Default Instrument Lighting

Are the steering wheel controls and also the mirror switch pack supposed to be back lit?

Also, does anyone have a list of what bulbs are fitted behind the main instrument cluster (I believe there are two different types) and behind the HVAC panel?

One half of my tacho is slightly dark and I'm guessing one of the bulbs has gone, so I'm thinking that if I'm 'going in' then I might as well change them all.

Thanks,

Andy

Steering wheel controls are not backlit. Mirror switch pack? If you are referring to the side mirror adjusting switch, no, it is not backlit.

Regarding bulbs for the instrument cluster bulbs and center console controls bulb, there have been many posts with the bulb types, a quick search on the forum should find what you need.

Thanks for that Steve. Yes, I do mean the door mirror switch pack and I'm glad to hear that there's nothing wrong.

I have looked and indeed there are several posts about the bulb types, but I haven't been able to cross reference them to anything here in the UK. I guess I was just wondering if there was a definitive list of aftermarket bulbs that are known to fit correctly and of the correct brightness and colour etc.

Andy.

From Amazon I purchased BP 161 bulbs for the dash lights, amazon UK had just one listing that I saw: Amazon.co.uk: Bp161 bulb
I recommend you replace all bulbs in the instrument cluster when you do it, if one is bad, others may soon go out. I can't recall how many there are, 5 I think. I don't know the part number for the center console bulbs though.

Default Bulb replacement video

I recall that Rev. Sam did a great video on the job, with comments in the two different color bulbs available. I'm getting ready to replace mine as two are already out.
