i am going to try and restore the interior of my jag and was wondering if the side panels are vinyl or leather or a combination of both. and will the leather dye ive purchased work on the side panels also . thanks jim

 

Depends on what you mean by "side panels."

The door panels are vinyl with a leather armrest. The rear quarter panels are vinyl. Not sure about the dye question.

Armrest top is leather the rest of the panel is vinyl- I refinished my leather bits so let me know if you have any questions. After about a year they look pretty good, but I anticipate doing them again in the fall, this time with higher quality dye and by hand instead of airbrush (except maybe for the clear coats)

 

The dye from leatherique is a lot like a vinyl paint and will stick to almost anything. It may not stand up to wear on vinyl surfaces, but door panels don't get much abrasion.
