I was searching for a trim code and could not find it on this site, prob searching wrong, but looking around the web found these.

what is your trim code? or can you not find it on the car, on a uk car it is on a plate located in the passenger door shut

. . . and also, keep in mind that Jaguar's trim codes are generally MY specific . . . ie they change from model to model and year to year.

I knew where the trim code was on my car, just looking for a table to interpret them.

Hello Dan.
Normally, I would point you to the resources in the Stickies, but find that the server link appears now to be dead. Alternate is the great JaguarRepair.com site hosted by our resident guru Gus, but note that his XK8 files are somewhat threadbare also. I have my MY04 deciphered, but as I intimated about finding the correct MY chart . . . I can confirm that my combination of Cashmere & Mocha did not even exist in '97 . . . so nor did the trim code.

I suggest you PM both/either [Gus] and/or [GGG] for advice on locating a '97 chart.

Hang on . . . second thought . . . suggest you grab one from X300 Sticky "How To". Being your X100's contemporary, I'll bet it is identical on the '97 X300, whereas the X200 (S-Type) did not start production until '99.
