Default its all in the switch....operator error abides

OK, my Jag is fine, I am going to tell you a short story about one of my other cars....I love my 04 S2000, have had it since 10/03 bulletproof reliable in every way....
today the window switch stopped working passenger side only, the switch for it on drivers door also stopped but the drivers window works...ok...s2000 parts are specific and more expensive than accord or civic, my car has the black and red interior so i have to go with red, which is $25.00 more than black...both door modules and switches are about $300....

So i went on you tube...found some neanderthal taking his door card off and removing window motor to fix....then i went to price out both sides....I took both switch assemblies out of the doors, easy they just pop in and out....then i went to the S2000 electrical forum and found several threads with the exact same symptoms....found there is a child safety switch on the drivers door, I have NEVER used this, must have accidentally toggled it. toggled it back...wallah...problem solved....honda put a switch in it's little roadster than turns off both window switches for the passenger side windows only.....

operator error abides.

That must have been a great relief in the end! Thanks for sharing.

See also rear child door locks on sedans; it's annoying how many times I've panicked about "broken" inner door handles that turn out to have just been temporarily disabled by a switch by the latch.
