Hello, can anyone help please? I have a 1999 Jaguar XKR, when you open the door the window drops to allow it to open but does not return to correct position when you close the door. The passenger side window works fine. Any ideas?? Gerard.

 

This is one of the classic signs of a failing battery. But since it occurs on only one window, try the window reset procedure before you decide to replace your battery....

Start with the window fully closed. Press and hold the switch until the window is fully down, hold the switch until you hear a faint click. The do the same when closing the window.

This should reset the window memory.

You would be well advised to check your battery as this is usually a symptom of falling battery voltage.

Thanks guys that did the trick. the car hasn't been used much since Christmas so I guess the battery was down. but it all seems fine now thank you.
