Default Licence plate bulb

Hi guys/gals,

Noticed a bulb out above license plate (right one) so went to store and picked up a new 194, put it in and it still doesn't work! Can't imagine separate fuses for the two bulbs for plate lights, can anyone shed some light on this please?

Try reversing the bulb around. I had one that when I turned it over it worked. I know it is a long shot but its worth a try.

sounds like you're going to have to trace back the wiring to the next connector and look for power loss to the socket. If you haven't gotten the JTIS program to get your electrical schematics to show you where and what to look for, I recommend doing that at this point. Our FAQ thread at the top of this xk8-xkr subforum will have the link to download and instructions on how to do the install. gluck!

Well once again the good advice from the guys here on the forum have led me to the solution; pulled out a couple fasteners on trunk lid carpet to look at wiring~wasn't even connected! It is now and also works like a charm.

Thanks to all
