Live 12volt feed to LH rear indicator

Live 12volt feed to LH rear indicator
Hi,
I have just purchased a 1997 XK8 and have a fault with the LH rear indicator have a live 12 v feed all the time. Seen a few bits on here about the link between the LCM and the BPM being faulty but disconnecting the LCM makes no effect, I assume the live feed is from the BPM but why?
