Anyone know wher you acan get or what you should get to replace the LJD4144BA part (Sub Woofer Speaker from Parcel Shelf in 2001 XKR)?

Looking for another option that is not 300+ NZ Dollars.

Any information welcome.

Short of it is, you have a lot of options for lower cost and a better speaker but the stock model is a sort of odd size so it will involve making your own adapter plate and wiring.

Not too bad as a DIY or any audio shop could do the installation.

 

The Coupe Subwoofer is a odd size, about 5/8" less diameter than a Standard 10" Unit.

Also, it's a Dual Voice Coil unit with a separate voice coil for each channel.

 

Looks like, from other threads, that I don't have the premium system... I had a good poke around and the rear parcel shelf is wired but no amp or speakers. I also busted the front passengers tweeter wiring connection on the front door post.
