Default Local Car Show

Today was the day for our local Pipestone Car Show, so I decided to enter the Jaguar since it's so very rare around here. I met a lot of fun people, including a very knowledgeable XJ8 owner who had come down form Minneapolis on vacation. I invited him here since he is a RoadFly member. I also made a few boys' day by letting them sit behind the wheel and drool (on themselves, not the car ) It was a beautiful day and I managed to win one of the People's Choice awards and $25 as a bonus.

One fun thing I overheard from some high schoolers that were in town from the parade:
"Hey, you seen Die Another Day?"
"Yea"
"That's the bad dudes car!!"
"Sweet!"

Default Lenox, MA car show

I had the same experience last week end with my XKR. We had a big British car show in Lenox, MA. My 03 XKR won 1st place in the Peoples Choice class. This was the first time I entered the car and won an award, it really felt good. The young kids that were there really liked my car. They took a lot of pictures of it. The next one is in Stowe, VT in a few weeks and I can't wait to go. If I knew how to insert pictures I would, but I keep getting an error message when I try to upload from my album. I think my pictures are to big in size.

Last September while on vacation in Oregon I was in a small town, which was holding a car show. I entered, but had no idea which category to enter. I ultimately selected the convertible by year (2003). My category was won by a Custom Mustang, while mine was obviously stock. Turned out there was a class for imports, which was won by an Opel, as the only entry in the category, DOH! But it was fun for my first time as a contestant.

I went to a Rodeo/Horse Show one time and there was a contest for Rodeo Show horses with those fancy saddles and bridles and the riders wearing matching clothes and the works.

When they announced the category, only two horses came into the ring. After they made a couple of loops, one of the girls with a barrel racing horse jumped on hers and rode it into the ring and rode around following the other horses, to the waves and cheers of the audience. She won a trophy for third place.
