Default Location of Body Processor Module (BPM)?

I read and did the global search in the JTIS, found lots of references to testing of the BPM connectors, but nothing showing or describing where the BPM is actually located.

I've got some odd B and U codes during my last scan with AE, U2012, U1041, U1135, B1446, B1236, B1876, B1595, B2182, B2323, B2327...but everything works just fine. All have recommended checks of resistance at the BPM, for high resistance or grounded/open circuits, so I was going to do a little investigation. I always thought the removal of my factory head unit might cause a couple of these vehicle speed/ignition switch/starter codes, but now I'm not so sure.

Anyway, how about pointing me in the right direction?

I'm going to duck in advance with this one...

See FAQ, Parts File 2, section B07, page 7, and page 53/165.

Cheers,

Richard

Shoot, forgot to look there. Thanks Richard.

Man those fiche-scans have a ton of part information!

Sorry Matt, just couldn't resist;-)

Yes they do contain masses of good info, currently adding to all other model section FAQs as and when more become available. (just takes me a while to read through them all before adding).

And for a real download experience check out the updated X300 FAQ, just uploaded the full active electronic service manual, and more (thanks to one of our Antipodean friends).

A+
Richard
