I'm building in a parrot and have removed the Jaguar phone. I'll be putting a socket in the telephone console by slaving from the nearby unit, and would like to store my phone in that space on a semi-permanent basis. So the phone would always be charged and connectable to the Parrot. Unlike the glove box, of course, it is not lockable, and I would like to secure it against casual, opportunistic theft.

So, I wondered if anyone out there has any thoughts or suggestions how to go about it - and have any forum members actually had a go at this?

 

A hasp clasp and padlock would work. It would be ugly...

are you open to losing the cupholder? You could relo everything to the glovebox.

 

The interior cubby comes out with a few screws, but you could mount a secure ram lock phone holder.

 

I think the padlock idea is.....well..... I had not thought about securing the phone itself, whilst having the cubby openable. Really good suggestion, which I'll certainly look into. Still interested if there are any other (non-padlock!) ways of locking down the cubby lid, though.
