Hey Eveyone,

I am looking for new tires for my 2001 XKR. I am unsure if I want to get max performance summer or ultra high performance all season's.

I am looking for a tire that rides well with the 20in low profile tires. I currently live in Michigan so the roads are far from stellar and would like the best possible chance of serviveing a pothole (not sure if all seasons handle potholes better than max performance). I also value life in a tire (as I don't want shops constantly messing with my bbs 2 peice wheels, taking tires on and off).

I am looking at the Conti DWS06 and the Michelin pilot sport 3+ from the ultra high performance category or the Conti extream contact sport and the Michelin pilot sport 4s.

Any others will gladly be looked at.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports are the best on the market, imo. I put them on every car I run (if available). Hands down, buy the Michelin and add road hazard insurance.

 

What DSC said, I run Michelin Pilot Sport AS3's on all my cars.

I have Conti Extreme Contacts on the XK8 (it came with them) - they seem fine on a smooth road - the car is a little jiggly on any other surface - and since it's brand new to me ...

I have the Cont DWS's on my X-TYPE - for what it's worth, I love them there ...
