I drive a 2002 XKR. A few days ago I noticed a leak in the power steering oil cooler hose. Actually a new oil cooler is not available. Why replacing the whole oil cooler, if there is just a leak on the connector.
The quick connector and the compression on the hose are leaking.
I cutted already the connector from the hose, as you can see on the pictures. The first picture shows the metal tube where the quick connector was connected to.
I would like to have a new hose made with a matching quick connector. Does anyone happen to know the manufacturer? Could it be ARaymond or Aeroquip?
Quite a few of us have used the brass hose barb repair method to replace these lousy plastic OEM Norma connectors in our power steering systems and cooling systems. Brass hose barbs are a much more permanent solution. Do some searching here on the forum, read up on the repair, and you too can effect a worry-free fix for your power steering fluid leaks....
