Low beam Head Lights
Hi all,
I have 1997 XK8 coupe. Major problem is that the low beams are set way too low. I have upped the wattage of the bulbs from 55 watts to 100 watts so the are bright enough, they are just to low.Using the fog lights helps.
Are there adjustment for these light?? If so where and how??
Anyone else have this problem??
Thanking you in advance for your responses.

Hey Capt Ron,
Did you figure out how to adjust the low beams? my 98 headlights just started looking at the ground about two feet in front of the car. I'm hoping to be able to adjust them and not having to deal with internal broken supports.

As with all things Jaguar, life isn't simple.
I think most UK and European cars - for "type approval" reasons, have an electrically operated levelling system, in which case, there's an electric motor on the rear of the lamp with a black knob which you turn to adjust the light and another small plastic "knob" to alter left/right alignment. See arrows :

But .............. I think in the US and other parts of the world, there's a different system - see Paul Pavliks post here :
headlight assembly adjustment
There may be others as well - depending on year, whether "standard" or HID, region / country etc.
Best plan - have a look and see if your is one of the two described above
