Default Main Passenger window retracting by itself when top opening

Proud owner of a 2000 XK8.

Just topped off the hydraulic fluid for the convertible top (was slow opening with a whine) and that worked great. Noticed the other day that the passenger window was partially down when I came out to drive the car in the morning, but thought I might have forgotten to close it all the way.

Yesterday the passenger window started to go down as the top was being retracted. It wasn't a fluid motion either, sort of judders an inch at a time and stopped half way down. Same thing again this morning. Other than this the window seems to work fine.

I have seen some posts about the windows but can't seem to find anything specific to this issue. Battery was replaced about a month ago, so that isn't it.

Any help is greatly appreciated !

That might be a limit switch problem, but try a reset of the windows first. Lower window and hold the button until you hear a click, then raise and hold for another click.

I should have mentioned that whenever the battery has been disconnected the widows have to be reset and the radio bass/treble adjusted.
